The Minis and Juniors (M&Js) takes the welfare of all players, parents/carers, coaches, managers and volunteers seriously.
Following detailed planning, consultation and assessment of all the risks and guidance associated with Covid-19, we are delighted to announce that junior rugby training will resume on Sunday 18th October.
We will be following Government of Jersey Guidance which applies to all sporting activities in the Island, as well as the RFU Roadmap for the Return to Community Rugby. Rugby is, for most age groups, a contact sport and we realise that players are going to get close to each other – so this will be carefully managed.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF MY CHILD WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND TRAINING?
Firstly, please register your child via the Membership Page. It is essential that everyone is registered, in order that we can comply with track & trace requirements, should anyone attending training subsequently test positive for Covid-19. Squad Managers will contact parents/carers during the week leading up to 18th October with detailed instructions. This will include slightly staggered start and finish times for Sunday morning sessions and restriction on the number of spectators in order that our numbers remain within the government guidance on gatherings.
Everyone involved in the M&Js has worked extremely hard to ensure that our youngsters continue to enjoy their rugby safely.
If you have any specific questions, please feel free to contact our Chair, Michelle Clark (firstname.lastname@example.org ), your Squad Manager or any Member of the Committee.
See you on 18th October!
