u15s v Horsham 2 (2016-11-06)U15 v Horsham1 (2016-11-06)

Following an excellent win over last season’s champions Hayward’s Heath, Jersey U15s went over to Horsham for their third match of the season.

They started strongly from the kick off and were awarded a penalty which was kicked to the corner for a good attacking platform. After a couple of phases then a breakdown in Horsham's defence, Jonty Bailey powered his way through to score an unconverted try. This kicked Horsham into gear and they came back strong to score two tries in quick succession. Some poor tackling and ill discipline gave the home side a good advantage but once Jersey received a yellow card deep into the first half, Horsham capitalised and scored a further two tries giving them a 24 to 5 half time lead. The red’s second half was a far better representation of themselves and the defence were a lot stronger with some solid tackles being made by Dylan Northcote, Harry Doolan and Kai Le Luan.

Ultimately, Jersey could not finish their opportunities and were left disappointed with a final score of 41 to 5.
