Jersey U16 travel to top of the league Horsham. Traveling with a Squad of 14 due to illness and injuries in the week for the Jersey side.
Jersey had a very strong defensive line sadly Horshams Scrum half broke the line scoring the first try of the game converted by their number 10 in the 8th minute of the game.
Jersey stayed strong in a very physical first half a Jersey Prop went off with a wrist injury taking the game to 13 on the pitch. Horsham went on to score 2 more try’s before half time
Second half Jersey came back strong with some strong scrums and line outs (with a flanker down!!) Winger Lennon chased down Horsham number 12 to prevent them scoring the 4th try on the match.
Captain James Wiseman broke the line and scored Jerseys first try of the game nicely converted by Archie Donnelly.
Jersey stayed strong in a very physical game. Horsham went on to score 4 tries in the 2nd half of the game, this didn’t stop jersey as James Wiseman Scored his second try of the game with 6 minutes to go.
Final score 47-12. Jersey stayed strong and never gave up. Jersey showed us what rugby is all about and played a great game of rugby.
