Hastings v Jersey U14 Boys

Jersey started well with some good pressure in the opposition half. We were rewarded with a penelty which Charlie Richardson slotted between the sticks. However the strong start didn’t last and Hastings got themselves back in the game with some continuous pressure and the jersey boys loosing some structure, which followed by two converted tries which took us to half time.
Second half started again in much the same as the first with continual pressure at the breakdown and scrummaging and some very questionable decisions from the referee. Some of the jersey heads began to drop and Hastings were rewarded a try in the corner but not converted.
Although things were going against jersey the boys rose again and Charlie  Richardson broke the line, cutting back inside and secured a try under the posts and followed with a successful conversion. Hastings saw themselves back on the jersey line and got themselves over the line but the referee called a knock on, however a lack of discipline throughout the game towards the referee saw jersey issued a yellow card to an undeserved Piotr in the front row.  The jersey boys rallied well and kept Hastings at bay for the five minutes with 14 boys. Jersey then pressed well and got into the Hastings 22 however the ball went dead and the referee called the end of the match.
