Midhurst V Jersey U13 Boys
Midhurst 30-10 Jersey U13 Boys

Match Report
Tough day at the office! but plenty to build on
Final score: Midhurst 30 – Jersey 10
The opposition showed real strength in securing the ball at the ruck and moving it quickly to their fly-half, who ran sharp attacking lines. Despite our scrum being dominant and giving us good possession, we didn’t always convert that into momentum – too many isolated one-up runners and support arriving late. Midhurst's scores came from fluid back play that meant they capitalised on overlaps.
There were standout moments: brilliant individual tries from Harrison Saunders - piercing through from fullback and Nick Barnes barnstorming through an opposition set of forwards, plus some heroic last-ditch tackling from Ashton Walls. Injuries meant players had to adapt to unfamiliar positions, and that’s never easy.
Jersey’s scrum was a real powerhouse, giving the team a solid platform throughout the match, that we struggled to build upon. Plenty of resilience was also on show, with players adapting under pressure and refusing to give in despite injuries and positional changes.
With six weeks until the big Guernsey clash, training is where we will put things right and come back stronger.
