Under 9s Tournament Report

What a day for our Under 9s! In their very first tournament, the squad showed exactly what JRFC is all about — and then some.

An early start (and we mean *early* — meeting before 6am for a flight!) set the tone for what would be a memorable day. The group was split into two teams of ten, and both sides hit the ground running, each winning their opening game despite facing some truly testing conditions underfoot.

The weather made things far from easy, with boggy pitches throughout, but that didn't dampen the players' spirits or their performances. By the end of the day, the combined record across both teams made for brilliant reading: **6 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat** — a remarkable return for any team, let alone one competing in their first-ever tournament.

But perhaps the most important result of the day had nothing to do with the scoreline. Every single one of our players conducted themselves with real credit, embodying the values of the game and representing JRFC in the best possible way. Parents, coaches and supporters should be incredibly proud.
