Hove V Jersey Colts
Hove 27-24 Jersey Colts

Match Report
A good start by Jersey saw early pressure into the opposition 22 which we unfortunately did not turn into points.
Hove broke away with some individual excellence to open the scoring in the match.
Jersey responded well with a try through Alex Edward’s pouncing on a spilt ball.
The first half ended back and forth with Jersey under pressure, culminating in losing a man due to some ill discipline.
Half time 7-5
Jersey responded well as the second half began , with a strong carry from Max Sayers , taking them into the lead for the first time in the match , but
Hove's immediate response was another two tries in quick succession, leaving Jersey with a small mountain to climb to get back into the game.
A captain's try from Alex Neasham through great handling , duly converted by Morris Cotillard put Jersey back at level pegging , but once again Hove responded with tries from their rapid winger.
Strong carries from Max Sayers and Alex Hudson saw the Jersey team gain field possession which resulted in Jersey being only 3 points down from a Sebastian Braunspahn try with a few minutes to go.
Jersey had a chance to win it at the death but were turned over right on the Hove line and that was the end of the match.
A fantastic and resilient squad effort to get back into the game.
Well done to Hove on a great performance we look forward to meeting them again in the new year.
We look forward to playing a strong Horsham team on October 12th.
